CIC incorporation

A Community Interest Company is a type of limited liability company ideal for those who, apart from view for profit, want to conduct a business or other activity for the benefit of community. Charities, political parties, political campaigning organisations or companies who intend to do these activities in the future cannot become a CIC. Forming a Community Interest Company differs from registering a standard company. There are specific requirements to the memorandum, articles of association and other documents needed to set up your business as CIC. Also, the application needs to be approved by the CIC Regulator first.

We are here to help you and ensure the whole process is as short as possible and the documentation complies with all the legal requirements. Therefore, we will:
  • check if the name you have chosen for your company is available and in line with company name rules
  • prepare company registration forms, memorandum, articles of association and statutory registers
  • prepare community interest statement and receive approval from the CIC Regulator and file the documents including Accounts and required fees at the Companies House
  • provide legal advice on the issues related to your company formation, obligations and duties
  • forward the Certificate of Incorporation, statutory registers and the Memorandum and Articles of Association to your registered office address*.
Our CIC formation package costs £399 plus VAT and includes registration fee payable to Companies House.
